Durham CCC play at Edgbaston this week having had 60% of their total numbers of overs so far this season lost due to rain, including the whole of last week’s scheduled clash against Surrey.
Warwickshire, who have Ian Bell and Jonathan Trott available to play, currently lead the division one table, having won two of their three games.
Durham CCC Head Coach, Geoff Cook, has named a thirteen man squad for the fixture, which includes a return for Ian Blackwell. Ben Stokes will go for a scan on his back later today, but will feature in the match as a batsman.
After three weeks on the road Durham CCC return to Emirates Durham ICG next week to face Somerset in the LV= County Championship, which starts on Wednesday 9 May followed by Sunday cricket against the same opposition on 13 May in the Clydesdale Bank 40 competition.
