It is do or die for the Dynamos this week-end as they take on Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire on the road in the fourth week of the Friends Life t20.
The Dynamos face the Outlaws on Friday night at Trent Bridge and then take on the Falcons at Chesterfield on Sunday afternoon.
The Dynamos will be boosted by the inclusion of two big names with former England T20 skipper Paul Collingwood and Ashes Squad member Graham Onions coming into the side.
Collingwood missed the last fortnight after injuring his thumb against Yorkshire in the Dynamos second match of the 2013 t20 season and Ashes Test squad member Graham Onions has been released by the ECB and will be a welcome addition to the bowling attack.
The in-form Second XI captain Usman Arshad has also been selected in the squad and if picked in the eleven will make his debut.
Durham will need to win both matches to keep their Friends Life t20 Finals Day chances alive as they currently sit at the bottom of the table however have the same amount of wins as Yorkshire and Leicestershire and are just the one win behind 3rd placed Derbyshire in a close pool.
The Dynamos went down to the Outlaws at Emirates Durham earlier in the month when they were victims to a dominant batting display by Notts big hitters Michael Lumb and Alex Hales.
However Durham showed last Friday against Yorkshire they too have the capacity for such displays with Phil Mustard smashing 92 from 51. Mustard is the second highest run scorer in the competition with 277 runs.
The Dynamos will need him and their top order to fire alongside the bowling boosted by the inclusion of Onions, to get the required wins this week-end and keep their chances of playing Finals Day alive.
