Durham Duo sign on

Durham County Cricket Club are delighted to announce that duo Keaton Jennings and Phil Mustard have signed contract extensions with the LV= County Champions.

Keaton Jennings burst onto the scene and made his first class debut for the Club in 2012, and was named 2012 Second Eleven Player of the Year. Coming in right at the top of the order Keaton took his chance in 2012 ending the season in the team. 2013 saw Keaton really develop and cement his first team place at the top of the order and played a vital role in the 2013 Championship winning side.

Jennings has signed a contract to extend his stay at Emirates Durham ICG until the end of the 2015 season.

Sunderland born wicketkeeper batsmen Phil Mustard has also signed a two year contract extension to stay with Durham until the end of the 2016 season.

Mustard, who made his first class debut in 2002 have been an almost ever present in the Durham side that have won three LV=County Championships. Known for his aggressive batting style Phil has been central to Durham’s limited over cricket plans, opening the batting in both forms of the game.

But it has been Phil’s development as a four day cricketer that he will be most proud of over recent years and Phil’s 823 First Class runs in 2013, the most runs Phil has scored in a first class season and was a key part of Durham’s LV=County Championship win.

The Club are delighted that both Academy graduates have signed on with the LV=County Champions and both will be in action for the Champions in the season opener versus the MCC in Abu Dhabi this March.
