Twelve-man squad named for Yorkshire clash

Durham head coach Jon Lewis has named a 12-man squad for the visit of Yorkshire in tomorrow’s crunch Specsavers County Championship squad at Emirates Riverside.

Separated by just one point and two places at the top of Division One, it looks set to be another keenly-contested battle between the two sides.

The sides have a recent history of exhilarating red-ball fixtures against one other in a match Paul Collingwood describes as ‘the closest thing to Test cricket’.

And Lewis has bolstered his seam bowling options with the inclusion of Jamie Harrison for the first time this season in the Championship.

Barry McCarthy, who lands back in England today after a two-game spell with the Irish national side, is also available for selection alongside all-rounder Usman Arshad.

Lewis can also call upon Graham Onions again after he missed the limited-overs fixtures of recent weeks.

Play starts at 11am tomorrow at Emirates Riverside.

Squad vs Yorkshire (20-23 June): Paul Collingwood (c), Mark Stoneman, Keaton Jennings, Scott Borthwick, Jack Burnham, Michael Richardson, Ryan Pringle, Usman Arshad, Barry McCarthy, Chris Rushworth, Graham Onions, Jamie Harrison
