England stars Ben Stokes and Mark Wood are set to feature in the Durham Jets’ encounter with the Northants Steelbacks tomorrow evening (6:30pm start).
Both played in the resounding win over the Leicestershire Foxes on Sunday and will once again feature at Emirates Riverside.
Given the Steelbacks’ pedigree in the competition and their current joint-top position in the North Group, Jon Lewis knows his side will have to be on top form come tomorrow.
Paul Coughlin’s final over hat-trick in the reverse fixture was not enough as they slipped to a 26-run defeat.
The Jets have been in exceptional form at home, with three wins from as many completed games, and lie in the final qualification spot as things stand.
Also included is the trio of Phil Mustard, Gordon Muchall and Calum MacLeod, who featured in the high-scoring T20 Finals Day defeat to Middlesex for the Second XI.
The wicketkeeper opened with a quickfire 34, MacLeod made 51 while Muchall recorded 56 not out as Neil Killeen’s side fell eight runs short.
