Academy prospect Hart included in squad for Notts

Durham head coach Jon Lewis has named a 13-man squad for tomorrow’s Specsavers County Championship match against Nottinghamshire at Emirates Riverside (11am start).

Included for the first time is Academy quick bowler Asher Hart, who has featured for the Second XI six times in this year’s Championship as part of a side who have reached the final.

The 19-year-old is joined in the squad by fellow pace bowler Barry McCarthy.

McCarthy was originally selected as part of the Ireland squad to face Hong Kong today at Malahide.

But after missing out on selection, he is on his way back to Durham ahead of tomorrow’s match.

Durham are currently in seventh place in Division One, with a game in hand on teams around them, and 35 points ahead of the visitors, who prop up the table with three games remaining.

Updates will be available on our Twitter page with live commentary via the BBC Sport website.
