Brian bows out after 41 years

Durham scorer Brian Hunt was presented with a personalised memento after retiring from duties with the club yesterday.

Brian’s 41 years of exceptional service came to a close following the thrilling 21-run win against Surrey, securing the club’s Division One status.

He was presented with the memento at tea during the final day’s play, with chief executive David Harker leading the presentation.

And Brian joined the team in the changing room for one last rendition of the Blaydon Races before bowing out.

The club would like to thank Brian for his loyal service which began back in the Minor Counties days and continued until this season.

We wish him a long, happy and successful retirement.
