Durham TV caught up with England Physical Disability captain, Iain Nairn, before he flies out to the ICC Academy in Dubai.
Nairn, who plays club cricket for neighbouring Chester-le-Street, will lead the side in a tri-series tournament against Pakistan & Bangladesh.
The 34-year-old took over the captaincy in 2014 and led them to the inaugral ICRC International T20 tournament.
The batsman explains his story and previews the upcoming tournament, which takes place between 19-25 October.
