RL50 vs Leicestershire @ South North CC

On Friday 5 May, Durham return to South Northumberland Cricket Club in Gosforth for the Royal London 50-over Cup match against Leicestershire CCC.

Ticketing arrangements

As would be the case at Emirates Riverside, members are admitted on production of their membership card.

A limited number of tickets will be available to non-members and are available in advance (£12 adults, £5 juniors) from the Box Office at Durham CCC in person, by telephoning 0844 499 4466 or from the website. Any tickets that still remain will be sold on the gate at South North CC on the day (£15 adults, £5 juniors).

Travel / parking

The area around the ground at South North CC has limited parking available so we are encouraging spectators to look at other travel options for the game.

      – Metro: The ground is within easy walking distance of South Gosforth Metro station and spectators are encouraged to use the Metro as a means of accessing the game. Spectators travelling from the south can use the Park and Metro service from Heworth, and similarly those coming from the north can use this facility from Kingston Park.

      – Bus: An extensive bus service operates with regular stops on Gosforth High Street. A number of services stop here from around the region.

      – Members Service: Durham CCC will be operating a service from Emirates Riverside to South North CC on the day of the game. Members will be able to park at the ground at Chester-le-Street free of charge before embarking on the return trip.  

Booking for this service is available from the Box Office, priced at £4 for a return trip, with services leaving at 9:00am & 9:45am. This must be booked in advance. Any holders of a Disabled space at Emirates Riverside can access this service free of charge but booking is again essential via the Box Office.

      – Parking: Should you wish to park around the ground at South North CC, you are reminded to follow local restrictions.

Access Gates

Spectators will be able to access the ground at two gates: Gate from the Park& Gate on Moor Road. These will be manned by Durham CCC Box Office staff and stewards.

Alcohol

The bar at South North CC will be accessible for Durham CCC members and there will be no alcohol for sale to the general public on the day of the game. As would be the case if the game was played at Emirates Riverside, members and other spectators are allowed to take their own alcohol with the equivalent of one bottle of wine or 4 cans of beer, lager, cider allowed per person.

Seating

There is no spectator seating at the ground except for a limited number of benches which are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

We will provide individual seats for members on a first come first served basis. All other spectators must bring their own chairs.

Public catering & amenities

There will be public catering available at the ground and a designated area will be for members-only. Some concession vans will also be at the ground.

Due to the proximity of the ground to Gosforth High Street, a pass-out system will be in operation for members and spectators to leave the ground to take advantage of Gosforth High Street and other local amenities.

Provision for disabled spectators

A hard standing area will be set aside for disabled spectators adjacent to the main building. This will have easy access to a disabled toilet.

Prospects of play

The Club’s normal Prospects of Play line will be operating on the day of the game. If there are any doubts on the weather on the day of the game members and other spectators can ring on 0844 499 4466 to check conditions.
