Ben Stokes & Mark Wood have been selected as part of England’s squad for the ICC Champions Trophy this summer.
The Durham players could line up on home turf for the 50-over tournament between the world’s eight highest-ranked countries.
Stokes is currently starring in the Indian Premier League while Wood’s recall marks his international comeback from a third ankle operation.
The tournament, which starts on 1 June, will be played across three venues in England & Wales – Edgbaston, The Oval & the Cardiff Wales Stadium.
Wood is also included in the squad for the Royal London ODI series with Ireland & South Africa in the lead up to the Champions Trophy.
Stokes will play in the latter series upon his return from India.
