Port of Tyne extend sponsorship of One-Day shirts

Durham CCC is delighted to announce long-standing sponsors Port of Tyne have extended their shirt sponsorship with the club.

Port of Tyne will continue as the club’s Royal London One-Day Cup shirt sponsor for the next three years, taking the partnership through to 2019.

One of the UK’s major deep sea ports, The Port has become the recognisable face on Durham’s One-Day kit and will continue to help promote their business around the world.

Newly appointed Durham County Cricket Club chairman Sir Ian Botham, said: “Port of Tyne are a long-standing, valued sponsor of the club and their name has been synonymous with the on-field successes over recent years.

“They have shown outstanding commitment to the club over a number of years and the next three years gives us the chance to build on an already exceptional relationship.”

Susan Wear, Port of Tyne Director of Corporate Affairs, said: “We’re proud to continue our partnership with Durham County Cricket Club – one of the North East’s great assets. It’s important we get behind the club as it takes on the challenges ahead to retain first class county cricket – and the national and international profile that brings – for the whole region.

“We’re also particularly proud to be working in partnership with Durham’s Foundation and to be supporting their work in local schools.”
