Wood returns to fold for Warwickshire test

Mark Wood returns to the squad for Durham’s Royal London One-Day Cup clash with Warwickshire at Edgbaston tomorrow.

The England quick missed Thursday’s opener with Derbyshire after sustaining a slight groin injury in the Specsavers County Championship match at Gloucestershire.

But he is back in contention for the first of two away games in three days and is part of a 13-man squad at Jon Lewis’ disposal.

Durham are chasing down a first victory and a return to positive points after an abandonment last time out from an advantageous position.

Michael Richardson & Keaton Jennings both opened with commanding half-centuries, with the former adjusting well to the number three position.

Cameron Steel, James Weighell & Stephen Cook could also play after making List A debuts for the club on Thursday, though the first two saw no action due to the elements.

Warwickshire, the defending champions in the competition, opened with a ten-wicket trouncing of the Northants Steelbacks at Wantage Road.
