England stars available for floodlit four-dayer

England stars Ben Stokes & Mark Wood will be available for Durham in this month’s floodlit Specsavers County Championship match against Worcestershire.

The pair will play in the first floodlit four-day games at Emirates Riverside, with each day’s play starting at 2pm.

Stokes, who struck a century against Australia during the Champions Trophy on Saturday, is set to play for the first time this season in a Durham shirt while Wood returns after beginning the season in Jon Lewis’ side.

All of the County Championship matches played during the week will be under lights are England prepare for the floodlit Test match against the West Indies later in the summer.

And their England team mate Moeen Ali is also set to play for the visitors, making it a star-studded line-up for both sides.

Wood has also been called up for England’s first NatWest IT20 against South Africa on Wednesday, 21 June at the Ageas Bowl. Stokes has been rested for the series, which is three matches in total.

Tickets for the Worcestershire match (2pm start) are available to purchase in advance online, saving £3 against on-the-day prices.
