Durham trio set to face South Africa

Durham trio Ben Stokes, Mark Wood & Keaton Jennings have been included in England’s squad to face South Africa in the first Test at Lord’s.

The county’s strong presence in the national side remains as England gear up for the first Test match of the summer.

The Durham man impressed, hitting a memorable century in his first innings before following up with a fifty in his second Test.

He has since captained England Lions against South Africa ‘A’.

Wood could feature in the longest format since October 2015 in a strong-looking squad for England first match under the captaincy of Joe Root.

It is also the first seriess with Stokes as vice-captain.
