Eden Mill Player of the Month: June

The Eden Mill Player of the Month award for June is now live!

There were four Specsavers County Championship matches last month, which started with a last over defeat to Northants & finished being unbeaten in three.

Vote for your pick via our Twitter poll from the following nominees:

Chris Rushworth

Rushworth impressed with both bat & ball in June, making his maiden first-class fifty against Kent while taking 15 wickets across four matches.

His eight wicket haul against Glamorgan was a season high & saw him nominated for Division Two Player of the Week.

And he backed up his batting performance at Canterbury against Worcestershire, making 30 in another stand with Barry McCarthy.

Matthew Potts

The 18-year-old featured in his maiden first-class matches in June & impressed with the ball, deserving more than the six wickets he returned.

Potts was trusted with the final over against Kent & almost dismissed Yasir Shah with nine catchers behind the wicket in a pulsating finish.

His consistent line & lengths brought better rewards against Glamorgan, taking match figures of 5/107 in the first win of the season.

Paul Coughlin

The all-rounder’s sensational performance in the tight defeat to Northants was enough to see him nominated for June’s award.

Trusted with the new ball, Coughlin stepped up to the mark in the first innings with maiden first-class five wicket haul.

And he followed up with five more in the second innings, ensuring he returned a maiden ten wicket match haul.

Paul Collingwood

Division Two’s leading scorer at the end of the month, Collingwood continued his super form that saw him named Eden Mill Player of the Month for May.

He started the month with four fifties including 120 in the first innings at Kent, making it six Championship half centuries in seven innings.

His 92 vs Glamorgan at Emirates Riverside added to scores of 92* & 127 against the Welsh county from earlier in the season.
