Durham captain Paul Collingwood revealed his delight in his side’s all-round performance after the nine-wicket victory over Derbyshire at Emirates Riverside.
Collingwood himself made 177, his highest Specsavers County Championship score on home turf, as Derbyshire were made to toil over the first two days.
A spirited fightback on Day Three could not save them as Durham’s bowlers plugged away & got just rewards for their efforts when Tom Latham hit the winning runs before lunch
The skipper also talked about the achievements of Graham Onions & the aim of the side heading into the final month of the season with three Championship fixtures left, starting with the visit of Kent next week.
