Neil Killeen appointed Young Lions bowling coach

Durham coach Neil Killeen has been appointed as England Young Lions’ bowling coach for their winter schedule.

The 41-year-old will work with some of the country’s finest young prospects in the lead up to the ICC Under-19 World Cup in New Zealand early next year.

Starting with a training camp in Loughborough, the Young Lions then fly out for a camp in Desert Springs before travelling to Potchefstroom in South Africa.

They return to England over the Christmas period before the World Cup gets underway, where they come up against Namibia, Canada & Bangladesh in Group C.

Killeen spoke to Durham TV about his role with the Under-19s, working with young bowlers & how his experiences can help the up-and-coming bowlers within Durham’s ranks.
