Durham vs Worcestershire: South North CC

This coming Friday, Durham will return to South North CC in Gosforth, Newcastle to face Worcestershire in a Royal London One-Day Cup fixture.

It will be the fourth visit to the ground, with all three previous matches resulting in Durham victories.

 

Match Details

The 50-over fixture will start at 11:00am. The interval is scheduled to be between 2:30pm & 3:15pm, with the finish scheduled for 6:45pm.

The address for the ground is Roseworth Terrace, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE3 1LU.

Ticketing Arrangements

Members will be entitled to entry into the ground on production of a valid membership card, as would be the case for any other home match at Emirates Riverside.

A limited amount of tickets remain to purchase in advance from the Box Office, priced at £12 adults & £5 children. These can be bought in person between 10am-4pm, by calling 0844 499 4466 or by following the link below through to the online ticket page.

Any remaining tickets are sold on the day at South North priced at £15 adults & £5 juniors.

Seating

There is no spectator seating at the ground except for a limited number of benches which would be available on a first come, first served basis.  We will provide individual seats for members on a first come first served basis.  All other spectators must take their own chairs.

Travel

Parking is very limited within the vicinity of the ground & so we encourage spectators to travel using public transport.

Metro

The ground at South North CC is within easy walking distance of South Gosforth Metro station and spectators are encouraged to use the Metro as a means of accessing the game.

Spectators travelling from the south can use the Park and Metro service from Heworth, and similarly those coming from the north could do the same from Kingston Park.

Bus

An extensive bus service operates with regular stops on Gosforth High Street, including the Go North East X40 & the Arriva 54.

Members Service

Durham CCC will be operating a special service from Emirates Riverside to South North CC on the day of the game.

Members will be able to park at the ground at Chester-le-Street free of charge & travel on a bus which will then take spectators to the ground at South North.  The cost for a return trip is £4 per person and this must be booked in advance at the Box Office in person or by ringing 0844 499 4466.

Buses will leave from Gate 6 area of Emirates Riverside and will be filled on a first come first serve basis. The first bus is scheduled to leave at 9:00am with another at 9:45am.  They will return immediately after the end of play, again buses will be loaded on a first come, first served basis.

For those members in possession of a Disabled parking permit for the ground at Chester-le-Street this service will be free, although again must be booked in advance via the Box Office.

Parking at South North CC

If spectators choose to park around the ground at South North CC they are reminded that they should follow local restrictions.

Access Gates

Spectators will be able to access the ground at two gates:

  • Gate from the Park
  • Gate on Moor Road

These will be manned by Durham CCC Box Office staff and stewards.

Public Catering & Alcohol

The bar at South North CC will be accessible for Durham CCC members on production of their members card.

There will be no alcohol for sale to the general public on the day of the game.  As would be the case if the game was played at the Emirates Riverside members and other spectators are allowed to take their own alcohol with the equivalent of one bottle of wine or 4 cans of beer, lager, cider allowed per person.

There will be public catering available at the ground. A special area will be designated for members only, with some concession vans available for other spectators.

An easy pass out system will be available for members and spectators to leave the ground and take advantage of going onto Gosforth High Street or having a stroll in the adjacent park.

Provision For Disabled Spectators

A hard standing area will be set aside for disabled spectators adjacent to the main building.  This will have easy access to a disabled toilet.
