Current & former players support charity event

A team of current & former Durham CCC players are to support a charity event in aid of the Chloe & Liam Together Forever Trust this weekend.

The Trust are holding a Cricket Festival Day at Marsden CC this Sunday (2 September) in memory of Liam Curry & Chloe Rutherford, who sadly lost their lives in the Manchester Arena terror attack last year.

Liam, a huge cricket fan, played for Marsden CC since the age of six & the pair were hugely popular with all who knew them.

A Durham XI will take on a Liam’s Legends side from 1pm followed by a match between a Durham Cricket League XI & Marsden’s First XI.

Current players Liam Trevaskis, Ryan Davies, Ben Whitehead, Michael Jones & Josh Coughlin head the Durham XI with Second XI head coach Neil Killeen also playing.

Killeen’s former seam bowling partners Callum Thorp & Mark Davies are involved, as well as ex-Durham player Steve Lugsden & Neil’s son, current Durham under-13 player Mitchell.

There will be an auction, raffle, BBQ, cake sale & much more on the day, with all proceeds going to the Chloe & Liam Together Forever Trust.
