Stuart Poynter starred with a final ball six to fire Ireland to victory in their final quadrangular series match against the Netherlands in Muscat.
The wicketkeeper smashed Paul van Meekeren over deep midwicket to earn only the fourth T20I win by one wicket.
Crucially, he turned down the chance of a single from the penultimate ball which would have seen number 11 & former Durham man Peter Chase face the last ball.
Upon hitting the ball out towards the fielder at deep square, Poynter sent Chase back & responded by launching the final ball over the rope.
It helped break a five-game T20I losing streak against the men in orange dating all the way back to 2014.
Both sides finished level on four points with Scotland, who won the series by virtue of superior net-run-rate.
Ireland now head to India to face Afghanistan for matches in all three formats, including both sides’ second Test next month.
