DCCC launches Scorer Development Programme

Durham County Cricket Club is launching a Scorer Development Programme with the aim to support scorers from the North East by giving them scoring opportunities at some of Durham’s fixtures during the season ahead.

The Programme gives scorers from Durham, Teesside and Northumberland a unique opportunity to score at a One-Day Cup game and/ or a Vitality Blast T20 fixture at Emirates Riverside in the 2019 season.

The pilot initiative looks to support scorers in their development and aims to give them the experience, awareness and confidence to score at first-class level.

Eligible candidates would have scoring experience in a club environment and will use Play-Cricket Pro for laptop.

As part of the initiative, successful candidates will be invited to either a One-Day Cup fixture, at which they will be with the two official match scorers, one Opta Operative and a Level 3 Durham scorer, or a Vitality Blast T20 game, at which they will simulate scoring under the guidance of a Level 3 Durham scorer.

Scorers can apply for the Development Programme via the link below.

Candidates should be able to bring their own laptop to the fixtures they have chosen to be involved in. Deadline for applications is Sunday 31 March.
