No changes for back-to-back home games

Lead high performance coach James Franklin has named the same squad for Durham’s back-to-back Royal London One-Day Cup home clashes against Derbyshire & Lancashire.

Having reached the halfway stage in third place with three wins from four, Franklin’s side are aiming to kick on with the race for qualification heating up.

Derbyshire visit Emirates Riverside tomorrow (Sunday, 28 April) before facing Lancashire at South Northumberland CC on Tuesday, 30 April.

And coming off the back of a comprehensive victory over Warwickshire at Edgbaston yesterday, the squad remains unchanged.

Michael Richardson is in contention after missing the previous two matches due to family reasons.

“It was a really good all-round performance. We had a disappointing loss at Worcester the other day so to come back here against a good Warwickshire side and get a really positive result sets us up nicely halfway through this competition,” Franklin said following the Warwickshire win.

“Our bowlers did a really good job. There was no real let-up and we bowled in partnerships and even though Warwickshire had a partnership the run-rate never really got away from us. Then after we got some wickets in the middle we were able to apply pressure and contain them to what we thought was a very chaseable total.

“Then the efficiency and our strike-rate when we batted was excellent. Graham has been searching for a little bit of form and to come out with the positive intent that he showed today got us off to a really strong start along with Alex who has come off a fifty at Worcester and his tempo was much better today. It was excellent.”
