Result: Durham (213/4; Pratt 113*, Ramisetty 30; Pratt 5-16, Husband 4-38) beat Cumbria (208/10; Amison 57, Edwards 34) by 6 wickets
Jake Pratt put in an outstanding performance with the bat and ball to help Durham Under-15 Boys remain top of the ECB Division 1B group table with a six-wicket victory over Cumbria.
Cumbria won the toss at Barnard Castle School and elected to bat, losing their first wicket at 44 when Robbie Dawson had Cumbria opener Will Beeden out caught and bowled for 18.
But it was a 68-run stand between Joe Amison (57) and Joss Edward (34) who steadied the ship for Cumbria and helped them get back on track. Both number two and three batsmen were dismissed by Luke Husband as he claimed four wickets for 38 runs from 10 overs.
The visitors were progressing steadily at 144/4, but Jake Pratt produced an outstanding spell with the ball, striking with five wickets for 16 runs from just 6.4 overs as Durham bowled out Cumbria for 208 with two balls remaining of the innings.
In reply, Durham lost both openers cheaply as they looked to chase down the target set by Cumbria at over four an over, finding themselves 31/2.
However, Pratt finished where he left off with the ball, scoring an outstanding 113 in 102 balls hitting 16 fours and two sixes on the way to his century.
Pratt was supported by 30 from Abhinav Ramisetty in 52 balls backed by an unbeaten 20 from Tom Ward in 44 balls as Durham cruised to victory in 36.4 overs to win by six wickets.
Durham now have two fixtures remaining in the competition against Scotland. The side will travel to Edinburgh on Wednesday July 10 before the home fixture at Annfield Plain Cricket Club on Tuesday July 30.
