Lead high performance coach James Franklin has named the same squad for Durham’s back-to-back Vitality Blast T20 fixtures against Worcestershire Rapids and Yorkshire Vikings.
Durham have two games in two days starting with tomorrow [Thursday] against the Rapids at Emirates Riverside which gets underway at 6:30pm before travelling to Headingley Stadium to face Yorkshire Vikings on Friday at 7:00pm.
Durham slipped to fifth place in the North Group last night following Derbyshire Falcon’s 20 run win over Worcestershire Rapids, but with four points separating second and bottom place, Franklin’s side are aiming to push on as the race for qualification continues to heat up.
Sunday’s fixture against Notts Outlaws was washed out due to persistence rain so Franklin’s men will be looking forward to getting back onto the pitch following Friday night’s victory over Derbyshire.
Worcestershire Rapids are third in the North Group, having won four and lost three so far this campaign, with their most recent victory coming over Yorkshire Vikings winning by five wickets.
Yorkshire have only won once this summer in the Blast with a 54-run victory over Leicestershire Foxes at the Fischer County Ground and currently sit bottom of the North Group.
