Clubs: Apply for Chance to Shine
Chance to Shine is a national charity on a mission to spread the power of cricket throughout schools and communities.
Durham Cricket deliver on behalf of the charity and 2019/20 will be Durham Cricket’s 15th year in partnership with Chance to Shine, as the programme continues to inspire thousands of state school pupils to play and learn through cricket.
Chance to Shine also creates a pathway to connect these children to recreational club structures through ECB’s entry-level initiative All Stars Cricket.
Chance to Shine delivery has already proved to be key for the promotion of All Stars Cricket with over 50% of signups to the programme in Durham resulting from school engagement.
Durham Cricket will be delivering full school Chance to Shine programmes in 60 schools this coming academic year giving 5,000 youngsters their first experience in cricket and we want to work with clubs who have the drive to provide sustainable cricket opportunities and grow their junior participation numbers.
