Mark Wood, Nathan Rimmington and Brydon Carse became the latest three Durham Cricket players to be selected for the new ECB Hundred competition.
The Durham trio were all confirmed last night at Sky Studios in London where the inaugural draft took place, ahead of the exciting new tournament which gets underway next July.
The competition which will see eight franchise city-based teams compete, finalised their 15-man squads with Wood, Rimmington and Carse joining Ben Stokes who had already been selected as an ECB Central contracted squad player.
Mark Wood was the first Durham player to be confirmed, having been snapped up to join the London Spirit under the guidance of Head Coach Shane Warne. Wood was selected in round three, completing a deal of 75K.
Nathan Rimmington and Brydon Carse will be joining up together for the same team, having both been selected for the Northern Superchargers. Both Rimmington and Carse who are known for their skill in the shorter format will share a dressing room with fellow England and Durham star Ben Stokes.
Both Rimmington and Carse were picked in round six by Head Coach, Darren Lehmann for deals worth 30K each.
