Day 3 Lancashire 177ao & 268ao, Durham 413 & 33/0
A five wicket haul from Liam Trevaskis guided Durham to a 10 wicket win over Lancashire in the ECB 2XI Championship at Jesmond.
The visitors resumed day 3 on 29/0 and progressed nicely in the morning session on a wicket which first thing didn’t offer too much for the Durham bowlers, but it was Alfie Taylor-Clarke who made the first breakthrough when the left arm seamer struck thanks to a low diving catch from Graham Clark in the slips. Lancashire losing their first wicket for 95.
Trevaskis then stuck 12 overs later claim the wicket of Lancashire opener Ben Walkden for 49 which saw 5 wickets fall for just 24 runs and Durham well and truly on top and closing in on victory.
Trevaskis pinned Matthew Hurst for 19 to claim his second wicket, before going onto trap Watson for 3 lbw.
George Bell soon departed for 2 caught behind by Ned Eckersley to give Paul Coughlin his first to return figures of 1/19 from 8 overs.
Tom Aspinwall top scored with 59 which saw Lancashire avoid an innings defeat but Aspinwall was another of Liam Trevaskis’ victims as he also went lbw playing across the line.
Ben Gibbon scored 25 not out backed by 14 from skipper George Burrows as Lancashire were bowled out for 268 setting Durham 33 to win with 14 overs remaining in the day.
Trevaskis claimed figures of 5/69 from 33 overs, with Matt Salisbury, Paul Coughlin, Alfie Taylor Clarke and Graham Clark was picked up one apiece.
Michael Jones (18*) and Harry Crawshaw (11*) saw Durham home in 6.3 overs as Durham won by 10 wickets, chasing down the 33 needed for victory.

Durham Seconds have a 204 run lead going into day 3 of their Championship game against Lancashire at Jesmond.
Durham resumed day 2 on 52/0 with both openers Harry Crawshaw and Michael Jones bringing up half centuries in an opening stand of 102.
Crawshaw was the first wicket to fall when he skied the ball to George Bell to give Tom Aspinwall Lancashire’s first wicket, Crawshaw departing for 55 from 121 balls.
Michael Jones and Ned Eckersley added 100 for the second wicket before Jones pulled the ball to Ben Gibbon for a well made 86 from 162 balls with 12 fours.
Ned Eckersley supported Jones with his 84 from 78 balls which included 12 fours and two sixes, with Liam Trevaskis (42) from 54 balls; six fours and one six and Paul Coughlin 36 from 35 balls with six fours helping to 319/6.
Matt Salisbury scored 47 from 63 balls batting at 9 backed by 26 from Jack Campbell as Durham were bowled out for 413 leading by 236.
Aspinwall was the pick of the bowlers for Lancashire with 3/47 with Watson and and Dickinson claiming two a peice.
In reply Lancashire closed on 29/0 trailing by 207 from 14 overs.
Day 1, Lancashire 177ao lead Durham 52/0 by 125 runs
Matt Salisbury claimed 6/46 as Durham Seconds bowled Lancashire out for 177 on Day 1 of their Second XI Championship fixture at Jesmond.
Having won the toss, the Durham bowlers made use of a successful toss from Stuart Poynter. Matt Salisbury claimed two early wickets to dismiss JJ Fielding and and Cian Dickinson reducing Lancashire to 5/2 but a 49 run partnership for the third wicket between Ben Walkden and George Bell guided the visitors to 54/3, before Salisbury claimed his third wicket to bowl Bell.
Walkden found another partner and went onto add 52 for the fourth wicket with Subhaan Mahmood but Paul Coughlin bowled the Lancashire opener for 44.
Jack Campbell had Mahmood caught behind by Ned Eckersley for 42, with Salisbury picking up his five wicket haul 9 balls later when Liam Trevaskis caught Tom Aspinwall for 14, Lancashire finding themselves 135/7.
Lancashire skipper George Burrows scored a 31 ball 19 with four fours before becoming Salisbury’s sixth victim as he was pinned lbw, reducing the visitors to 167/8,
Jack Campbell wrapped up the Lancashire innings as Ben Gibbon pulled the ball into the hands of Salisbury with Xander Selby the last to depart caught by Graham Clark for 0 with Lancashire being bowled out for 177 in 73.3 overs.
Matt Salisbury rounded off with figures of 6/47 from 17 overs, with Jack Campbell picking up 3/33 and Paul Coughlin 1/2 from 5 overs.
A 52 run partnership from Harry Crawshaw (31) and Mike Jones (20) guided Durham to the close on Day 1, trailing by 125 runs at 52/0 from 20 overs.
