Women’s Indoor Bash relaunches

After a year off due to the pandemic, Durham Cricket’s women’s indoor competition the Indoor Bash is resuming with two leagues – Development and Performance.

The return of the competition will see local women’s teams involved in a winter programme in the off-season.

For a third year running, the competition will ensure that there are more competitive opportunities for women’s teams and will help expand the cricket offer in Durham.

The games will be played as 12-over fixtures of pairs cricket, using incrediball.

Teams can now enter the Indoor Bash, which will take place at the Louise Centre.

The Performance Indoor Bash is aimed at cricket clubs with established hardball women’s sections, while the Development League will suit softball teams, that have never played hardball or are relevantly new to the game.

The Development League starts on 14th November 2021 and will run over four weekends, with fixtures taking place on Sundays.

The Performance League will commence on 30th January 2022.

Development League: 14th November, 12:00pm – 3:00pm; 21st November, 12:00pm – 3:00pm; 28th November, 12:00pm – 3:00pm; 5th December, 12:00pm – 3:00pm

Performance League: 30th January, 12:00pm – 3:00pm; 13th February, 12:00pm – 3:00pm; 27th February, 12:00pm – 3:00pm; 13th March, 12:00pm – 3:00pm

Please note that teams are required to pay a small fee upon registration, which will help cover expenses towards hall hire.

We may ask players to contribute a small amount per game in addition to the fee to help with the cost of running the competition.
