Durham return to action at The Riverside for the first time in 2022 as we take on Yorkshire in a three-day friendly. (28-30 March, 11am start)
Here’s everything you need to know ahead attending the fixture or watching from home!
ARRIVAL
There is no in ground parking available across the three days for anyone attending this fixture. Parking will be available around the Riverside in the council car parks, so please make sure to have made your own parking arrangements
Disabled parking is located in the dedicated area immediately outside of Gate 1 or in the allocated bays in the council car parks
Entry to this fixture will be free of charge for everyone who wishes to attend, there is no need to tell us of your attendance in advance.
Access to the ground will be via Gate 2 (opposite the Sticky Wicket) and will open from 10am.
MEMBERS
The members lounge will be closed for this fixture, however members will be able to gain entry into the Lumley Lounge where sandwiches and hot/cold drinks can be purchased.
The seating on the members balcony, outside of the members lounge, is not available throughout the three days.
You do not need your membership card for this fixture, you will receive these at the start of April before the first home game in the County Championship.
FOOD AND DRINK
As stated above, the Lumley Lounge will be open to members for cold sandwiches and hot/cold drinks.
At the Riverside, there will be an ice cream van and a van serving tea/coffee.
The Sticky Wicket will also be open throughout this fixture.
HOURS OF PLAY
The scheduled hours of play are as follows, but please listen for announcements of any adjustments to these timings on the day.
11.00 Start of play
1:00 lunch
3:40 tea.
Close of play (approx 6pm)
LIVE STREAMING
This fixture will be live streamed and available to watch on the Durham Cricket match centre or by visiting our channel on Youtube
Please note, for this fixture we will be testing a number of new pieces of equipment ahead of the season which may affect the broadcast at certain times throughout play. There will be no commentary on the stream.
GROUND/PITCH ACCESS
The Yorkshire friendly will be played on pitch 2 which is pavilion side of the square. The public are welcome on the outfield during breaks in play as long as practice is not taking place, but please do not walk on the square
SECURITY ARRANGEMENTS
Please allow sufficient time for our staff to carry out our security procedures (including bag searches and “pat – down”checks).
You can also assist with the security operation by reporting any concerns-no matter how small-to the club’s stewards. Help stay secure by staying alert; if something doesn’t look right, tell a steward.
