England v South Africa – match and travel information

Important information: England v South Africa, Tuesday 19 July

We can’t wait to welcome you to Seat Unique Riverside tomorrow as International cricket returns with England taking on South Africa in a One Day International.

However, due to the heatwave expected throughout Tuesday, we want to update you before attending this fixture.

Travel information

Please check your travel arrangements with your operator and plan your journey, especially if you were planning to travel by train. The train programme is severely disrupted due to the weather. Due to the lack of trains there is now no shuttle bus from Durham station – these buses have been redirected to an additional park and ride.

As an alternative to the shuttle bus there are public buses from the street at the bottom of the station to Chester le street running every 15 minutes – 21, x21, 50

Durham Cricket are already operating a Park & Ride service for the game from: Rainton Arena – DH4 5PH – however we have now added an additional park and ride service at Belmont Park just off the A1 using car parks B & C – DH1 1SR. Parking at both sites is free, with the shuttle bus to the ground costing £3 return per person. This is payable on the bus to the driver.

A reminder parking at the venue for this fixture has sold out.
