North East Warriors U18 play quarter-final at Seat Unique Riverside

The North East Warriors Under-18 are set to play Worcestershire Women at Seat Unique Riverside in the quarter-finals of the Royal London U18 Girls’ County Cup.

The Under-18 squad remained unbeaten to top their group in the competition and qualify.

The Durham and Northumberland representatives remained unbeaten in the one-day format, with six wins in the season, one cancelled game and one conceded fixture by the opposition.

The Warriors’ Ciara Boaden has been exceptional with the highest batting total in Group 1 (265 runs), including a century (106*) against Cumbria Women.

Sarah Vince led the bowling in the Group with nine wickets across the season, including an impressive spell of 4-6 against Lancashire as the Warriors won by 80 runs.

Now, the North East team face Group 2 winners Worcestershire in the quarter-finals, an opposition  that has recorded five wins and just one loss so for in the 40-over format.

The quarter-final takes place at Seat Unique Riverside from 11.00am and spectators are welcome throughout the day. The game will be livestreamed.
