Durham need to bounce back when they head to Trent Bridge tomorrow afternoon to take on Notts Outlaws in the Vitality Blast.
After two strong wins in the Midlands last weekend, Durham suffered their third loss of the campaign – falling 10 runs short against Leicestershire Foxes at Seat Unique Riverside.
Ryan Campbell has named a 13 player squad to head back to the Midlands which includes Ben McKinney for the first time this seas0n. If selected McKinney will make his T20 debut for Durham – having represented the Tuskers in the Zimbabwe domestic T20 competition.
Durham are currently second from bottom with 4 points and face a Notts Outlaws side who are winless from 5 games sitting bottom of the group.
Words from Ryan Campbell
I thought we bowled really nicely against Leicestershire, Nathan Sowter was again outstanding and Callum Parkinson too. I thought what we were set was a score which we could get, but yep, we fell away at the end.
I thought it was par – 140 was probably on the dot to be honest. It’s just those one or two overs or a little mistake. They’re the changing points of a game.
But, as a collective, I thought we bowled beautifully. Those are the facts. If we’re going to be able to restrict teams to 140, we have to be able to chase that and win.
The beauty of T20 cricket is that we are now straight back on the road to take on Nottinghamshire, we learn, we are obviously disappointed, the facts are we wrap that defeat up, take what we need to from it and move on.
Notts will be wanting to fight back after a disappointing start to the season, they have some tremendous players in that side, so we are going to have to be at our best.

Key winter moves: Leading 2023 wicket-takers Shaheen Shah Afridi and Jake Ball have gone, as have club legend Samit Patel and off-spinner Matt Carter. New Zealand’s Ben Lister and Afghanistan’s Fazalhaq Farooqi fill the Afridi left-arm quick vacancy, while New Zealand batter Will Young and ex-Worcestershire duo Jack Haynes and Dillon Pennington are more new faces.
Wildcard watch: After two seasons on the main roster, wicketkeeper Tom Moores kept his Trent Rockets shirt via a wildcard last year after outscoring Alex Hales in the Blast, when only Clarke totalled more than his 371 runs. He will be looking to do the same again with another big showing.
