Young cricketers on the Durham pathway got a chance to learn up close with the Durham men’s professional squad at a recent coaching session.
Members of the boys’ Under 14s and Under 16s squads enjoyed a specialist masterclass with Graham Clark, Ben Raine and Callum Parkinson.
As part of their County Age Group winter programme, the three Durham professionals worked with seamer, spinners and batters enjoying a special experience.
The squads were split up into their specialist areas, watching demonstrations from each of the players before having a go their selves with the professionals offering tips and passing on knowledge to the players.
Durham Cricket, Men’s Academy Director, John Windows said: “These sessions are fantastic for our young cricketers to watch up close and learn from the Durham professionals.
“Our young players aspire to be professional cricketers and opportunities like this are great learning experiences for them.
“They watched the guys in action but also got to ask questions which is a rare moment for them.
“It was fantastic to see Ben, Graham and Callum offering their expertise and we look forward to providing more of these sessions down the line for our young cricketers.”
