Disability Cricket Camps
Durham Cricket is welcoming participants to FREE Disability Cricket Camps at Seat Unique Riverside during the School Holidays.
The One-Day camps are suited to children and young people with disabilities, aged 7-17 and are a great way to have a go at the game for the first time in a safe and inclusive envirnoment. All disabilities are welcome and the activity is adjusted to fit every participant and their needs.
Dates and Book
Three dates are available – Wednesdays, 26th July, 9th August and 23rd August. Each day starts at 10am and finishes at 12 noon. The camps take place at the home of Durham Cricket – Seat Unique Riverside, offering a unique opportunity to share the field with Durham’s professional players.
Participants can book on more than one date, if they wish to.
More about the camps
The days focus on fostering new skills, enhancing coordination, making new friends, and most importantly, having fun. We’ve structured our activities to cater to all abilities and needs.
Participants will learn the basic skills of the game through fun games in batting, bowling and fielding, while improving balance and hand/eye coordination. The activities will offer something for everyone, but most of all, it will be a unique experience to play at the home of Durham Cricket.
Our days will provide a platform for children and young people with disabilities to boost their sporting and social skills, and increase their self-esteem and confidence in a friendly and supportive environment.
Cricket equipment will be provided for everyone, so participants won’t need anything other than drinks and enthusiasm.
