Members Benefits 2021 Season
With the 2021 season underway, Durham Cricket members will soon have the opportunity to take advantage of a number of Membership Benefits which the club are offering, thanking members for their unrivalled loyalty and understanding over the past year.
As outlined in membership packs which were sent out to all members, the below covers all the benefits which members can take advantage of during the 2021 season.
Guest Passes: All members who became a Durham Defender in 2020 have received two guest passes to use in the County Championship and One Day Cup. Guests do not have to attend games with the member and the passes are valid for the full season. Please note these guest passes aren’t valid for the Vitality Blast T20.
Free food and drink at every County Championship game – Each member will be given a voucher to redeem free food and a pint or soft drink at each of the four County Championship fixtures they are currently able to attend. The vouchers can be redeemed in the Members Lounge on any of the first two days of play for each game.
Free merchandise – Each member will be given a £10 voucher redeemable in the club shop – which is due to relaunch early Spring.
Free transport – The club will provide members with free transport on buses to both Royal London Cup games to be played at out grounds in 2021 (Scarborough and South Northumberland).
International Tickets: Durham Cricket members receive priority for international tickets at Emirates Riverside, and also receive a £5 discount on their international ticket.
Concert discount – Members will be given 10% discount on any tickets purchased for themselves or family and friends to any Durham organised concerts. This includes, An Evening of Queen, An Evening of Tina and Massaoke: Sing The Musicals! (concerts organised by external promoters are not guaranteed as part of this discount including the Michael Bublé concert).
Dedicated matchday host – The club are employing a dedicated matchday host with specific responsibility to servicing the needs of the members in the Members Lounge throughout the 2021 season. The host will be available to listen to feedback and ensure members have the best experience they have ever had at Durham games.
In ground customer loyalty scheme – The Club will be implementing an in-ground customer loyalty benefit scheme in 2021. This will mean that members will be given additional rewards for the more games they attend and the more money they spend in the ground.
Streaming service: The club have updated their streaming service, offering members and spectators a chance to watch Durham in action, through a multi-camera enhanced streaming service. This is a free service which will run throughout the season.
An Evening with Ian Botham: Members who became a Durham Defender will be invited to a pie and peas supper with Sir Ian Botham at Emirates Riverside – due to the current restrictions a date for this is to be confirmed. Information will be sent to members and posted on the website once this is confirmed.
Yearbook: Members will receive a complimentary edition of the 2021 yearbook – which can be claimed from the main club reception or club shop (from May 27th) – vouchers to claim a copy can be found in membership packs. Members can have a copy sent out to them at £1.50 which includes delivery, by ringing the box office on 0191 387 17 17.
Members Forum: Following four successful virtual members forums over the past year, the club hope to return with face-to-face members forums this season. Once members forums are confirmed information will be posted on the club’s website and social media channels.
Members Lounge: As of the Essex game on Thursday 27 May, the Riverside suit will re-open for members. A reminder social distancing protocols will be in place for members. As normal, food will be served in the members lounge, as in previous years.
Guest Pass Voucher: In your membership packs you will have received a voucher which states “guest pass for one game” this voucher entitles you to bring a guest to a Durham Cricket County Championship or Royal London fixture. This voucher is on top of the two guest membership cards for Durham Defenders.
