Durham’s 2019 Specsavers County Championship campaign will begin with an away fixture to Derbyshire on Friday, April 5, followed by our first home game at Emirates Riverside against Sussex on Thursday, April 11.
The season will also see Durham finish the Championship at home against Glamorgan on Monday, September 23.
All seven of the home Championship matches will be at Emirates Riverside with our only outground home fixture scheduled in the Royal London One-Day Cup against Lancashire at South Northumberland CC on Tuesday, April 30th.
The ten-team Second Division means Durham will play four teams once – Glamorgan & Gloucestershire at home, while we’ll play Middlesex & Lancashire on the road, the former at Lord’s.
The Royal London One-Day Cup will be pushed forward this season and played in a four-week block with Durham’s first fixture against Northamptonshire being played at Emirates Riverside on the Wednesday, 17th April, followed by another home game versus Leicestershire (April 19) two days later.
We will face Worcestershire, Warwickshire, Nottinghamshire and Yorkshire away from home in the white ball competition with Derbyshire and Lancashire our other two games to be played.
Durham’s MCCU will visit Emirates Riverside in the traditional final pre-season friendly on Tuesday, March 26.
Durham’s 2019 Vitality Blast schedule will be released at 5pm today (Nov 27).
