The Dutch have revealed their 15-member playing group for next month’s tournament with Durham’s Bas de Leede in the group.
A total of twenty teams will play 55 matches in seven Caribbean countries and three cities in the United States.
It is the first time in the history of international cricket that an Associate country participates in four consecutive World Cups; The Dutch men played in the T20 World Cups in UAE in 2021 and in Australia in 2022, as well as the 50 overs Cricket World Cup in 2023 in India.
The Dutch national men’s team will play its four group matches at four different locations.
The fixtures are as follows:
4 June Nepal, Dallas, start 17.30 CET
8 June South Africa, New York, 16.30 CET
13 June Bangladesh, Kingstown, St Vincent and the Grenadines, 16.30 CET
17 June Sri Lanka, Gros Islet, St. Lucia, 02.30 CET.
All numbers 1 and 2 of the four groups qualify for the next phase, the Super Eight.
After this phase, there will be semi-finals and a final.

We have managed to perform admirably in the last two World Cups we have participated in and will be determined to rise to the challenges we face ahead to reach the next round of the tournament.”
The national men’s coach’s team started preparing for this upcoming T20 World Cup in January. The team played seven matches against South African T20 franchise teams. Then there was a T20 series in Nepal with Nepal and Namibia; These countries are also participants in the World Cup.
Subsequently, four ProSeries matches were played in the Netherlands between the best cricketers in the Netherlands and five rounds were played in the national T20 top class league.
NORDEK T20 TriSeries
The penultimate part of the preparation will be completed by the World Cup selection in the Netherlands. Ireland, and Scotland, who will also be competing in the T20 World Cup in the USA and West Indies are coming to the Netherlands for the NORDEK T20 TriSeries between the 18th and 24th of May. The availability of the county players selected for the World Cup in this series is yet to be confirmed. All matches will be played at Sportpark Westvliet (Voorburg CC).
