Friends Life, proud sponsor of the Friends Life t20 competition, today launched a season-long competition to provide a cricket fan and friends with the opportunity to go behind the scenes at Edgbaston on Friends Life t20 Finals Day on Saturday 17 August.
The day will provide the ultimate experience for a fan to ‘be the expert’ and see first-hand what goes in to making the Friends Life t20 Finals Day – from preparing the pitch, to broadcasting the games live to millions worldwide and entertaining a capacity Edgbaston crowd of 25,000 people.
The winner will get to watch the action from pitch-side seats, giving them the ‘best seat in the house’; an exclusive media centre tour of the SKY Sports studio and commentary box to meet the SKY Sports team; a chance to meet all the Friends Life t20 Finals Day team captains and umpires; and be photographed with the Friends Life t20 trophy. The winner will also be involved in the action on the pitch at the pre-match pitch inspection and coin tosses, starting the infamous mascot race with David ‘Bumble’ Lloyd and present the Friends Life t20 champions with their medals at the Final ceremony.
As well as the ultimate behind-the-scenes experience, the prize includes tickets for a cricket fan and three friends to both of the Friends Life t20 semi-finals and final on Saturday 17 August 2013 and accommodation for two nights at a local Birmingham hotel.
