Ben McKinney and Jonathan Bushnell will represent Tuskers in the Zimbabwe domestic T20 competition which commences [today] Sunday 3rd March.
McKinney was initially due to be with the Durham squad only for the red ball part of the pre-season tour while Bushnell was part of the squad to remain out in Zimbabwe for the full three weeks.
The Tuskers is one of six teams who will be part of the Zimbabwe T20 competition alongside, the Rocks, Rhinos, Eagles, Mountaineers and Durham.
Marcus North, Director of Cricket said: “This is a great opportunity for Ben and Jonny to both play a full part in the Zimbabwe T20 tournament.
“Our relationship with Cricket Zimbabwe is very strong and having two of our guys play for the Tuskers in their domestic competition will only strengthen that relationship.
“Playing for the Tuskers will give Ben and Jonny the chance to play in a new team environment, learn from new players and experience something new, this is great for the lads and we look forward to seeing them represent the Tuskers over the next week.”
The Tuskers kick off their T20 campaign against Eagles today 6:30pm CAT [Sunday 3 March] at Harare Sports Club.
