#Blast17 is back at Emirates Riverside & the best experience in family cricket has become even better!
Durham’s 2016 Blast home games were scored as the best family experience in English domestic cricket following the ECB’s customer surveys, which are given to all T20 attendees.
All-new activities for 2017 have been a huge hit at our opening matches & they include a batting simulator, as showcased during our opening Specsavers County Championship match this season.
This is the chance to score as many runs as possible in a real-life situation. Variable pace, swing, seam & spin makes it equally enjoyable if you’re trying cricket for the first time or honing well-practiced skills.
It’s a great chance to get competitive with friends on the concourse – watch below to see what’s in store!
We’ll also have stations to try out bowling & fielding skills, both brand new activities for 2017.
While aiming for the stumps in the Durham Jets bowling net, a speedometer tracks the pace of the ball. Fast & accurate is the name of the game – & another great way to test yourself against friends & family!
Our fielding station is short & simple – three balls, three chances to hit the stump. An 100% strike rate would impress even the best Jets fielders.
Some of the family favourites are making a return. Signing sessions will continue to run post-match, giving young Jets fans a chance to meet their heroes, and the Scatterblasts means free goodies during the match – if you’re quick enough!
The hot tub is back, with competitions run over on our Facebook page to win places while the all-new Fosters field, seating 50 supporters outside the boundary, will bring an additional element to the atmosphere.
We’ll have fireworks before the game begins, Fan of the Match prizes & the Seabrooks Best Seat in the House.
