All three charities use the local love of sport to make a real difference to young peoples’ lives across the North-East.
On the evening, Newcastle United, Newcastle Falcons and Durham County Cricket Club will be competing for the title of North-East sports quiz champions while also raising vital funds.
Ruel Braithwaite, Liam Plunkett and Ben Stokes will take to the stage to represent Durham County Cricket Club at Question Tyne 2012, and on the Falcons’ team will be rugby stars Jimmy Gopparth, James Hudson and Jeremy Manning.
Newcastle United United trio Steve Harper, Steven Taylor and Dan Gosling will provide the Magpies’ line-up in the upcoming event.
The Foundation is also pleased to announce that Port of Tyne will join law firm Ward Hadaway and marketing agency NB Group as an event partner.
Susan Wear, director of corporate affairs at the Port of Tyne, said: “The Port of Tyne aims to help local communities in its operating area, and we are especially pleased to be able to support an event that will raise funds for the work of the Foundations in helping young people improve their chances in education and work in the future.”
In addition to the sports quiz, the evening will include a drinks reception and a three-course meal, plus a raffle and auction with some amazing prizes up for grabs.
Limited tables of ten are still available for £500, and individual tickets can be bought for £50 each. For more information on the event and for details of how to book download our Question Tyne 2012 flyer
