Players and their partners, staff, sponsors and invited guests were in attendance at the dinner at the Marriott in Gosforth where the 2013 LV= County Championship was celebrated. The big winner for the night was Scott Borthwick who won the Player of the Year and also the Fielder and Batsman of the Year whilst the highly regarded Players’ Player award went to Graham Onions.

2013 Player of the Year (as voted by DCCC Members)
Scott Borthwick – 1530 runs, 49 wickets and 37 catches across all three formats
Players’ Player
Graham Onions- A phenomenal 73 wickets in the LV=County Championship this season.
Young Player of the Year
Ben Stokes – a fantastic season in the three forms which has earned him a spot in the England Ashes squad for this summer.
Batman of the Year
Scott Borthwick- 1530 runs for the season including 1121 First Class runs.
Bowler of the Year
Chris Rushworth – 55 First Class wickets, 20 YB40 wickets and 13 Friends Life t20 wickets.
Fielder of the Year
Scott Borthwick – 37 catches this season with some superb ones at 2nd slip.
New Balance Champagne Moment
Will Smith for his amazing 120no from 87 balls in the YB40 vs Surrey.
Second XI Player of the Year
Usman Arshad- 685 runs and 26 wickets in a year where he also made his First Class debut.
