Hampshire 97/5 (Scriven 25*, Soames 23*; Glendinning 5/13) beat Durham 93 (Weighell 27) by 5 wickets.
A five-for from Brodie Glendinning wasn’t enough for Durham seconds to progress into the final of the second eleven T20 cup after slipping out at the semi-final stage against Hampshire.
Durham won the toss and elected to bat but lost openers Harry Adair and Jonathan Bushnell in the second and third over.
Some tight bowling from the Hampshire bowlers restricted Durham to 40/5, and never recovered.
James Weighell scored a spirited 27 from 23 balls but was dismissed off the bowling of Fuller supported by 16 from Gareth Harte, as Durham were bowled out in 17 overs for 93.
Hampshire started well at 17/0 from two overs, but Brodie Glendinning struck with two wickets in his first over, reducing Durham’s opponents to 17/2.
The Academy youngster continued his fine spell, clean bowling Hampshire’s number three, four and five as he rounded off his four overs with figures of 5/13.
Despite being 53/5 after 9.3 overs, Tom Scriven 25* and Oli Soames 23* finished unbeaten as Hampshire chased down 93 in 15.3 overs.
