Burnham included for Falcons clash

Jack Burnham has returned to a 13-man squad for tonight’s televised NatWest T20 Blast clash against Derbyshire Falcons (6:30pm start).

The 20-year-old, who hit his first Twenty20 half century against Northants Steelbacks earlier in the season, is back in the squad after making 80 for the 2nd XI against Yorkshire yesterday.

Burnham could replace Paul Collingwood in the XI. The all-rounder is not fit to play after featuring in both games over the weekend.

Barry McCarthy is also unavailable while away on Ireland duty for their clash with The Netherlands.

The Jets are eyeing an eighth successive win over the Falcons, who are pushing for a quarter-final spot in #Blast17.

South African spinner Imran Tahir is expected to play for the hosts while Daryn Smit will captain in the absence of Gary Wilson.

The game is televised on Sky Cricket as part of a double-header, with Loughborough Lightning playing Southern Vipers in the Kia Super League before the Jets-Falcons encounter.
