Champions Head South for Final Match

Newly crowned LV=County Champions Durham may have already claimed this year’s LVCC title but they have one more match to go in the 2013 season and will be looking to finish with another victory.

Durham claimed this year’s title last week after defeating Nottinghamshire at Emirates Durham ICG and lifted the trophy in front of a proud North-East crowd.

The champions will head south to Hove for their final match against Sussex, needing another 16 points to break the championship record (since the competition split into two divisions) and become the first team to win 11 matches.

The season has been a remarkable one for Durham with 10 victories, three more than their nearest rival Yorkshire to date, giving them their third title in six years.
