Clark included for Gloucestershire trip

Graham Clark has been added to the squad for tomorrow’s Specsavers County Championship match against Gloucestershire at the Brightside Ground (11am start).

Clark has put in a number of impressive performances at Second XI level and is in contention to play at Bristol.

The 24-year-old backed up two centuries against Kent/Essex with another three figures against Scotland ‘A’ at Emirates Riverside yesterday, while he also hit 57 against Durham MCCU during the First XI’s pre-season friendly.

He is one of the options to replace Jack Burnham, who drops out of the squad after breaking his thumb in practice yesterday.

Cameron Steel is also included after impressing in pre-season while Mark Wood is again involved as Jon Lewis’men aim to chalk up their first Championship win following last week’s defeat to Nottinghamshire.

Ex-Durham man Phil Mustard is expected to captain the hosts, who are unbeaten in their last six first-class matches against Durham – though the last of those came back in 2003.

Live commentary of the match is available via the BBC Sport website while updates are available via the Club’s Twitter account.
