The 27-year-old batsman has been consistent with bat in hand for Scotland in this season’s CB40 competition, and has enjoyed playing against his new team mates, scoring 122 against Northants for Scotland in the CB40 earlier this season. Kyle preceded that feat by scoring 57 and 87* in 2nd XI match against the County at Milton Keynes.
Kyle has scored over 2300 first class runs to date, including 5 hundreds and over 2000 runs in the one day game at a superb average of 34.
Northants Head Coach David Capel said, “I’m pleased that Kyle has decided to join us for the rest of the season, I see him as the kind of quality cricketer we want to add to our squad, and he will be able to join a team pushing for all important promotion in the LV= County Championship.”
