Durham captain Paul Collingwood returns to a 13-man squad for the Specsavers County Championship against Sussex at Arundel, starting tomorrow (11am start).
Collingwood is back to strengthen the batting line-up as Durham aim to build upon a three-game unbeaten run with the red ball following another come-from-behind victory against Derbyshire last time out.
The skipper has been missing with an achilles problem but is back in contention to lead the side on the South Coast.
Stuart Poynter takes the gloves in place of Ryan Davies after returning from international duty with Ireland, while Ryan Pringle also makes the squad after an impressive week for the Second XI in both the T20 & Championship fixtures at Worcestershire.
The all-rounder scored 42 & 65 in the short format fixtures last Monday before adding 76 more in the convincing three-day win.
Fast bowler Gavin Main remains a part of the squad while Michael Jones drops out of the side that faced Derbyshire last time out.
Cameron Steel has recovered from soft tissue bruising to the arm & is expected to feature, while loanee Matt Salisbury will keep his place in the side after making a huge impact on debut.

An unexpected bout of rain on the final day could not prevent Durham from falling to defeat against Sussex for the second time in 2017.
With the visitors still needing one wicket to win in Durham’s final home game of the season, the elements interfered & looked as though it could hand the hosts a draw.
However, they returned to the field later in the day & Sussex wrapped up a deserved win after decimating Durham’s top order to 61/7 in pursuit of 264 to win.
Another Luke Wells century proved the bedrock of their 346 before Durham countered with 385 via four half-centuries, the largest of which came from Graham Clark (88).
A cluster of frustrating lower order stands helped them make 302 all out before early wickets put them firmly in the driving seat.
