Durham CCC celebrate their 21st Birthday as a First Class County this weekend, and with this the side will be taking on Durham MCCU in the traditional County Cricket season opener.
Durham CCC Head Coach Geoff Cook has named a strong side for the fixture with only skipper Paul Collingwood unavailable through injury as he continues his recovery from a hand injury. Limited overs captain Dale Benkenstein will lead the side in Paul’s absence.
Durham CCC also welcome Graham Onions back to the side following his winter trips to India and New Zealand with the England Test side to lead a strong Durham CCC seam attack.
