Be part of the Cricket Tea-A-Thon

ECB is supporting the Trussell Trust, one of the UK’s leading food poverty charities, to deliver the ‘Cricket Tea-A-Thon’, a campaign to help support local foodbanks across the UK.

As part of the Together Through This Test initiative, which has highlighted the incredible work of the cricket community across the country during the pandemic, we are inviting cricket clubs and community groups across Durham to register and become food collection points for their local Trussell Trust foodbank.

To highlight the initiative the ECB is hosting a ‘virtual cricket tea’ today, on day two of the second #raisethebat Test against the West Indies.

This campaign will aim to get as many people across England and Wales to share their own cricket tea and donate food to their local clubs or foodbanks using #CricketTea.

Get Involved

To get involved, share pictures and videos of your cricket ‘tea’ using #CricketTea on social media and if you can, donate food to your local food bank or collection centre.

If you’re interested in donating to the Trussell Trust, click here to find out how.

Clubs

Clubs can still register to become a Trussell Trust food collection point.  Following registration, clubs will receive a resource pack providing everything they’ll need to set up a collection point, promote donation to members, players, supporters, and local community and how to find out more about your local Trussell Trust food bank.
